Our story

Kronkron is a colourful boutique in Reykjavík, Iceland, founded in 2004 by designer Hugrún Árnadóttir and Magni Þorsteinsson.

From the beginning, Kronkron has been about colour, character and individuality. What started as a small boutique on Laugavegur soon grew into a distinctive fashion world, bringing together our own house label, Kron by Kronkron, and selected designers from around the world.

Kron by Kronkron is our own label — created with love for colour, comfort and pieces that feel personal.

The collections are not built around short-lived trends. They are made to be mixed, matched and loved over time. Each piece has its own name, character and story, and many of our customers return to their favourite Kron by Kronkron shapes season after season.

Our world is feminine, playful and expressive, with a focus on beautiful fabrics, special colour combinations and pieces that are easy to wear but never boring.

Alongside Kron by Kronkron, we curate designers we love — from iconic names to independent labels with a strong point of view.

Our selection has included designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garçons, Noir Kei Ninomiya, Antipast, Maria La Rosa and many more.

We choose pieces with personality: clothing, shoes, jewellery and accessories that bring something special to everyday dressing.

Kronkron is rooted in Reykjavík, but our world has always reached beyond Iceland.
